Alpaca connections use broker-provided OAuth only — HypaValley never requests or stores your Alpaca username, password, API key, or secret.
Broker authorization tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM), and all production traffic runs over HTTPS/TLS.
Every privileged action — enabling live trading, connecting or disconnecting a broker — is recorded in a dedicated audit log.
An automated reconciliation process periodically compares our records against your broker's to catch discrepancies early.
You can disconnect your broker at any time, from your Alpaca dashboard or your HypaValley settings — doing so removes the stored authorization immediately.
