Preparation

  • To use HypaValley, you’ll need an account at alpaca.markets for free.
  • H You’ll also need to sign up or log in to HypaValley.
    • Sign Up Log In
  • Once your Alpaca account is ready, connect it via OAuth in Settings and you’re set to explore the dashboard, orders, and builders.

Get Started

A simple path to your first run:

  1. Go to Settings → Alpaca Connection and connect Paper or Live via OAuth.
  2. Open the Dashboard to confirm your balance, positions, and timeframe sync (Today → All).
  3. Visit Orders to review recent fills and ensure the period setting matches the dashboard.
  4. In Algorithm → Block Builder, add a Data: Ticker, indicators (SMA/EMA/RSI/MACD), and a condition (e.g., cross). Add Utility blocks like Wait Market Open/Fill if needed.
  5. Export to Algorithm → Code Builder to fine-tune logic, then run in HypaValley using your connected Alpaca account.
  6. Start in paper mode, validate logs, then switch to live when you’re confident.

Tip: If you reset a paper account at Alpaca, HypaValley will trim related history to stay clean.
